Brian Liebman
Music Director, Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Brian Liebman’s love for rock music and the guitar began when the guitar was bigger than him. As a kid, he began to take guitar lessons, practicing and developing his talents for performing. After playing the guitar for 27 years, he has become one of the South Florida area’s most dedicated guitar instructors. After working for years in multiple local music stores and music programs since 1997, he began to instruct rock band programs for kids in 2007.
As a music director, Brian found his calling in sharing his skills to develop the talents of others, mostly kids and teens with a strong interest in playing rock music. In 2017, he completed a Master of Music Education degree from Florida International University.
In addition to teaching a large number of guitar lessons and directing rock band programs, Brian is the guitarist for the rock group Smitty the Band, which has been a live and studio band in Miami since 2005. Their first full-length album, “The World I See,” was released in 2013. Between being a musician, live performer, and music educator, Brian has a strong and mindful approach to understanding the genre of rock music. He is a guitar teacher and bass guitar teacher at School of Rock Coral Gables.
Elio Gomez
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Elio Gomez’s musical journey started when he decided to take Guitar 101 as an elective in middle school. From there, he became obsessed, jumping ahead and teaching himself all the songs he loved. In his teens, Elio was a School of Rock student for a year and a half, where he learned how to play in a band setting and continued honing his skills on guitar. He started a band with fellow classmates and started playing at parties all over South Miami.
Elio went on to pursue his bachelor's degree in Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston. While there, he became the bandleader for a popular wedding band, playing all over New England, as well as internationally. While firmly rooted in rock music, Elio loves to play Cuban timba, jazz, funk, R&B, and any music that will get people dancing. He is a guitar teacher and bass guitar teacher at School of Rock Coral Gables.
Nick Sintes
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Nick is a guitar and bass teacher at School of Rock Coral Gables. He first picked up a guitar when he was 12 years old when a close friend of his showed him how to play a simple riff and from that point forward Nick would try to teach himself some of his favorite songs through YouTube lessons. It wasn’t long before his parents realized his love for music and signed him up for School of Rock. It was there that Nick discovered the joy of playing in a band, and progressed tremendously as a guitar player, while also picking up bass and drums.
Nick is active in the Miami music scene as the lead guitarist and songwriter for the local hard rock band The Wrong Number. Nick enjoys playing loud and energetic rock more than anything, but also appreciates and borrows from a variety of styles in his playing and original music, including blues, funk, and jazz.
