All of School of Rock Tampa’s music teachers are experienced musicians devoted to helping students attain musical proficiency. Our instructors guide students one-on-one to personalize learning, inspire confidence and build social skills.
Tyler Mulder
General Manager
It all started at age 13 when Tyler was introduced to the electric guitar. Since then, music has become a major factor in his life. With almost two decades of live performance and studio experience, Tyler's musical insight provides a real-world perspective to education at the School of Rock in Tampa, FL.
Playing the guitar has been Tyler's main instrument of choice through the years, but beyond that, he also plays the bass guitar and has produced for other artists and their musical projects.
Bryant Harp
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Bryant is a touring and recording musician with a strong passion for music and education that began at a young age. Bryant started playing bass near the end of high school, exploring diverse approaches to musical growth while still having fun and experimenting with sound.
Bryant’s teaching methods blend the School of Rock curriculum with the practices he's employed since day one, which remain central to his routine to this day.
Brendan Nagy
Drum Teacher
Brendan Nagy is a seasoned drum instructor with nearly a decade of teaching experience and a passion for education. With an eclectic focus on genres spanning from jazz to metal, Brendan's dynamic teaching style and passion for music help students of all levels find their rhythm under his guidance.
Brendan studied Music Production at the Music Industry and Recording Arts program at St. Pete College. He is also a Creative Music Technology Instructor with Arts Conservatory for Teens, teaching audio production fundamentals to students at Pinellas County schools.
Elijah Vigil
Drum Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher, Vocal Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Guitar Teacher
Elijah is a multi-instrumentalist who started playing piano and guitar at age 12, and upright bass from middle school until college. In high school, drums and singing became a huge passion of Elijah’s, leading him to play in various bands since 2011. He now plays drums/vocals for The George, a Tampa indie rock band. Elijah is also a licensed realtor with The Welcome Home Team in Tampa.
At School of Rock Tampa, Elijah teaches every instrument offered—guitar, bass, drums, keys, and vocals—and loves to (in his own words) blab passionately about everything music!
Rico Catalino
Music Director, Guitar Teacher
Rico is a passionate musician with a comprehensive background in performance, composition, recording, and teaching. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Audio Engineering from the Art Institute of Atlanta and has dedicated nearly a decade to School of Rock, leveraging over 15 years of band experience and more than a decade of teaching and recording expertise.
During his downtime, Rico frequents the local skatepark or golf course, immersing himself in mixing and recording projects at his studio. Among his musical influences, Rico counts bands like Hail The Sun, Underoath, and Intervals among his favorites.
Isabella Lee
Vocal Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Isabella Lee’s School of Rock journey began as a student, initially as a member of her school's House Band and then through the prestigious AllStars program. Isa later became the frontwoman for The Barrels, playing shows across Connecticut and NYC.
The creation of a four-song EP—in which Isa contributed vocally, lyrically, instrumentally, and with production—marked a significant milestone for the group. Isa is now pursuing a degree in Music Technology at the University of Tampa, focusing on honing her technical skills as a music technician and engineer.
Ben Turner
Drum Teacher
Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Ben moved to Tampa as a seventh grader. Growing up, Ben developed a passion for music when he started playing piano at a young age. During his time at H.B. Plant High School in Tampa, he committed most of his time to developing his knowledge and skills in percussion instruments.
After graduating from Plant, Ben attended the University of South Florida where he earned his Bachelor of Science majoring in Health Sciences and minoring in Psychology. During his undergrad, Ben spent a lot of his time teaching various percussion ensembles around the Tampa Bay area along with continuing his growth as a performer. Currently, Ben is dedicating his time to educating the youth through his love for music, serving at his local church as a musician, and performing at various gigs.
