Blackbirds Boogie Black Art Salon opens – Nostalgia reigns

Corbitt and other memories during the opening weekend of Blackbirds Boogie & other gumbo grooves.   Artists, friends,  and community discussed ideas, shared, memories stories, poems and songs over food and Nina Simone. Stories shared from BACCE’s Shirley Smallwood, Medea Project’s Cassandra Steptoe & producer Abbie Rhone.
