Stories shared from BACCE’s Shirley Smallwood, Medea Project’s Cassandra Steptoe & producer Abbie Rhone.

The fabulous Rhodessa Jones! Winner of the Mayor’s Art Award among many other accolades, founder and leader of the amazing Medea Project, will be our Salon “featured artist” for our tribute to Wayne Corbitt, Blackbirds Boogie & other gumbo grooves. Miss Jones will regale us with stories from the frontlines of the AIDS crisis that claimed Corbitt’s life and framed much of his work. Marvin K. White & Edris Cooper-Anifowoshe host the weekend with the themed topic that focuses on artists lost in the battle and thsoe who left a lingering legacy.
