The School of Rock AllStars Tour takes the very best students from around the world and sends them on a country-wide summer tour across the United States. Less than 1% of School of Rock students are selected each year to represent School of Rock as an AllStar. Students in both the Performance Program and House Band are eligible to audition for this prestigious program. The intensive audition process starts off with video submissions, followed by live auditions. Once selected, students will have an authentic touring experience, including traveling on a tour bus, doing tour publicity, and starring in nightly performances at famous venues and festivals during a two-week tour.
Becoming an AllStar is the highest level of achievement for a School of Rock student. These students often go on to have accomplished careers in the music industry. Former AllStars have gone on to become touring artists, star in Broadway musicals, get signed to record deals, become finalists on talent competitions like The Voice and American Idol, or have other notable roles in the music industry.
School of Rock now sells guitars, bass guitars, drums, keyboards, microphones, recording equipment, amplifiers, effects pedals and much more through our exclusive GearSelect program. We’ve partnered with some of the music industry’s biggest brands to offer everything students need for the AllStars music program. Browse over 1,000 products.
Explore nowThe AllStars are the best of the best from our global network of schools at School of Rock. Once students have a few shows under their belt, they have the opportunity to audition for the summer tour of a lifetime. The audition process includes several stages. Students already enrolled in School of Rock first audition for AllStars at their local school. Candidates passing this round will then audition for our International AllStars team by submitting a video of their performance. Finally, once the video has been reviewed by our judges, students may be invited to a live audition, or a live video audition if students aren't able to make it in person. Once these live auditions are finished, the judges determine who makes the final AllStars group.
There is no specific age requirement to audition for the School of Rock AllStars. However, musicians must be enrolled as a Performance Program student to audition. AllStars are typically ages 13 to 17.
The School of Rock AllStars perform all over the United States, and form several teams based on location. Once on tour, they will often meet up with other teams for exciting and unforgettable live performances.
After auditions, the School of Rock AllStars come from different parts of the world to meet in one of several locations around the United States. These are the starting points for each tour. Generally, AllStars meet for a couple of days to practice before they begin their tour. This gives the musicians time to get to know each other and make sure they're ready to perform as a group.
The School of Rock AllStars have performed at locations such as:
Red Rocks, Lollapalooza, Hangout Music Fest, NAMM, Gathering of the Vines, Austin City Limits, BB King's, and countless others.
